Our Roots
For over 40 years, Gary and Mary Ihry have built a solid reputation as the area’s most trusted insurance agency. Since 1982, Ihry Insurance Agency has been a household name providing insurance solutions for our clients. We are a local independent insurance agency with offices located across North Dakota and the Red River Valley. We are committed to the small-town concept that is living, working, and doing business in the communities we serve.
In December 2010, Ihry Insurance acquired Western Insurance, an independent insurance agency previously owned by Western State Bank. Western’s roots are similar to Ihry’s. The business started as a small rural company and has continued to grow based on its great reputation as honest, hardworking, and reliable people.
With the insurance industry constantly changing, Ihry Insurance takes pride in providing high-quality service to all our clients. We have exceptional staff and sub-agents who continue to educate themselves about changes in the industry. Keith joined the Ihry team in 2023. Prior to working with Ihry, Keith spent 18 years working in emergency services working as a paramedic and Senior Patrolman for the Devils Lake Police Department. He then worked at a car dealership in Devils Lake as a Sales Manager.
Keith has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 29 years, has 3 children, and a new dog named Gus. In his free time you can find Keith riding his Polaris Ranger or doing his two favorite hobbies hunting and fishing.

Shane is also actively involved in the surrounding communities, including being the past Mayor of Page, ND, and a volunteer fireman and EMR on the ambulance squad. Cheryl was born and raised in Milbank, SD. She comes from a big family— five sisters and two brothers—and they all try to get together a couple of times each year. She also has two grown daughters, Angie and Brittany. Cheryl has 5 grandchildren.

I would like to introduce myself, Brady Weisenberger. I was born and raised in Bismarck ND and graduated from Concordia College with a major in Criminal Justice and Communications in 1990. After college I pursued my passion of working with at risk adolescents while employed by Luther Hall (Lutheran Social Services). After 7 GREAT years of making a difference with our youth, I left to pursue my LOVE of Ice Cream and joined the sales TEAM of Schwan’s Ice Cream. I found a passion for sales, but after working door to door in one of the worst winters in Fargo history, it was time to find a new career inside.
I have worked in a sales and leadership role selling employee benefits for the past 25 years while focusing on service, strategies, and solutions for my clients. I have been in the insurance business for almost 6 months now as a member of the Benefits team. I got into insurnace because my family has been small business owners in Fargo for the last 70+ years and I watched the struggles they experienced from lack of knowledge and help.

Russ has been with Ihry Insurance Agency since June 2012, specializing in both crop insurance and property and casualty insurance. Russ began his career as a crop adjuster in the late 1980s. He later decided to become an insurance agent and received his license in 1994. Russ has been involved in organizations such as the Professional Insurance Agents of North Dakota, the Gardner Fire Department, and the Valley Lions Club. He’s been nominated twice for the “Agent of the Year” award from the Professional Insurance Agents of North Dakota.
Russ and his wife, Janet, live in Gardner, ND, and have two daughters, Gretchen and Lauren. Outside of work, Russ loves to hunt and fish, watch racing (from the local level to Nascar), and spend time with his family.
